Meta Ads reporting for creator campaigns
See how creator content performs in Facebook and Instagram ads, then distinguish Meta's reported purchases from the tracked store orders that can earn commission.

Start with this
The reporting connection reads ad results; it does not launch ads or change spend.
Match each ad to the right creator and content before judging performance.
Meta-reported purchases are not a deduplicated list of payable store orders.
Agree the content, sales source and tracking before launch.
Start with the right ad account
Where Meta reporting is enabled for your account, use CreatorCall's connection flow to authorize reporting access and choose the ad account that runs the creator's content. The person connecting must have access to that account. Check its name, currency and time zone before importing results; a successful sign-in does not prove that you selected the right business.
CreatorCall's reporting connection is read-only. You continue managing ads and budgets in Meta. Available features depend on provider authorization and your account's enabled connections; this guide does not establish that a particular account has access.
Give each ad a clear creator connection
Associate the reported ad with the creator collaboration it belongs to and, where relevant, the approved content file. Use the ad's stable identifier rather than relying on its name: names can change or resemble one another. Keep separate edits and variants identifiable so a strong opening can be distinguished from the rest of the campaign.
A reporting assignment organizes results; it does not grant advertising rights or activate sales commission. Confirm the agreed channels, usage term and any creator-account advertising permission. An ad combining several creators needs careful attribution and cannot simply credit every sale to each person.
Read the metrics with their definitions
The report can bring together spend, impressions, link clicks, three-second plays and Meta-reported website purchases and purchase value when supplied. The hook rate compares three-second plays with impressions. It is a creative signal, not a measure of sales or the share of unique people who watched.
Compare the same dates, account currency and attribution settings in both systems. Meta's conversion reporting follows its attribution rules; it need not match a store's order-date view. Missing readings stay unavailable rather than becoming zero, and daily reach cannot be added to produce unique campaign reach.
Use order evidence for commissions
For an enabled ad-commission arrangement, agree the creator's terms, map the ad to that collaboration and use its designated tracked destination. A compatible connected store must preserve the tracking reference through checkout and send the resulting order and later adjustments. The reporting authorization alone does none of that.
Eligible creator codes take priority; otherwise, the last eligible tracked creator click determines the recipient under the agreed rules. If the same creator has overlapping eligible link and ad arrangements, the higher amount is paid once. Refunds, the earning period and any cap still apply. Meta's aggregate purchase total cannot supply the individual-order evidence for this calculation.
Compare creative without inventing sales
Use platform results to understand paid delivery, and the order record to understand the payment decision. Keep those two questions visible when reviewing a creator's contribution.
Illustrative example, not a customer result
A skincare demonstration in a Meta ad
A brand runs one creator's approved video in two ads with different openings. Meta reports purchases against those ads. CreatorCall separately receives a store order linked to an eligible tracked click. That order can be assessed for the creator's agreed commission; the other reported purchases are not automatically converted into payable orders.
Check the gaps before drawing conclusions
Confirm the last successful update, selected account, ad assignment and source of each sales figure. A quiet report can mean no delivery, an expired connection or an incomplete date range. A tracked order can be missing because the visit changed device, tracking was not retained or the checkout did not carry the reference.
- Test the full ad-to-checkout path before relying on commissions.
- Keep Meta-reported sales separate from store-confirmed sales; do not add them together.
- Treat attributed revenue divided by spend as a source-specific comparison, not proof of profit or incremental sales.
