TikTok Ads reporting for creator campaigns
Connect paid TikTok results to the creator work behind them, while keeping video engagement, platform-attributed purchases and payable store orders distinct.

Start with this
Connect the advertiser account that runs the ads, not just a TikTok profile.
TikTok video views and Meta three-second plays are different measurements.
A TikTok Ads connection is not a TikTok Shop order or affiliate connection.
Agree the content, sales source and tracking before launch.
Authorize the advertiser account
Where available in CreatorCall, connect through TikTok's authorization flow and select the advertiser account used for the campaign. You need permission to read that account's information and reporting. Confirm its identity, currency and reporting time zone before comparing the imported figures with Ads Manager.
The reporting connection reads results; it does not publish content, create ads or change budgets. Provider approval, granted permissions and CreatorCall account availability are separate requirements. A TikTok profile, Business Center membership or existing Shop relationship does not by itself establish that this reporting connection is ready.
Connect the ad to the creative
Map each reported ad to the creator collaboration and approved asset it uses. Check the ad identifier and actual creative, especially when an advertiser reuses one video across several campaigns or produces multiple edits. A campaign name is not reliable evidence of which creator made every ad inside it.
Keep permission to use the content separate from that mapping. A creator's delivered video does not automatically include every advertising use. For creator-account formats such as Spark Ads, confirm the relevant permission in TikTok as well as the usage terms agreed with the creator.
Separate viewing from buying
CreatorCall's reporting model reads spend, impressions, clicks, video views, complete payments and complete payment value when returned. TikTok video views count plays started; they should not be presented as the same metric as Meta's three-second plays. Missing values are unavailable, not evidence of no activity.
TikTok can attribute conversions after clicks, views or engaged views according to the campaign's settings. The current imported report does not supply the ad group's attribution setting, so check it in Ads Manager. Never assume that the platform's conversion window is the same as the click window agreed for a creator's commission.
Carry the click through to a store order
An enabled commission flow needs an accepted creator agreement, a mapped ad, its tracked destination and a compatible store connection. Preserve the tracking reference through the shopping journey so the store can return it with a real order. TikTok's own click parameter helps its measurement, but a parameter in a URL is not by itself proof of a purchase or a payable creator commission.
CreatorCall assesses eligible store orders under the agreed code-priority and last-click rules, then pays the higher eligible overlapping arrangement once for the winning creator. A view-through conversion without a qualifying tracked order cannot simply be added to that ledger. TikTok Shop sales require their own supported order flow; the Ads connector does not silently import them.
Keep the two sales views visible
Different totals can answer different questions. First check the source and attribution settings, then investigate missing data rather than forcing both reports to agree.
Illustrative example, not a customer result
A fashion creator's video becomes an ad
TikTok credits a purchase after someone watches an ad. Separately, a shopper clicks a mapped ad, reaches the connected store and places a qualifying order with its tracking reference intact. The first can appear in TikTok's performance reporting; the second provides the order evidence needed to assess creator commission. Neither should be duplicated across both totals.
Check the setup before judging the creator
Compare matching advertiser accounts, dates and currencies. Check whether a result is a website payment, another conversion event or a Shop metric. The connector's selected report does not reproduce every specialized Ads Manager view, and a campaign with no spend cannot validate real performance reporting.
- Verify the creator's advertising permissions and the correct ad-to-content mapping.
- Test a permitted click-to-checkout journey and the store's order and refund updates.
- Use paid results alongside creative quality and business context; a high view count alone does not demonstrate sales.
